And I refuse to pick a thing.

One of my favourite things to do is take photos. It has imbued my perception of the world with wonder, I am always looking for, and seeing, the beauty in stuff. I mean I just stood in the shower and looked at my matt of hair lying next to a water-beaded shampoo bottle and thought, god that is quite beautiful.

I also love writing. I’ve dreamed of being a novelist for as long as I can remember. I’ve also dreamed of being a jeweller, a photographer (see above), an investigative journalist, a psychologist and a corporate CEO.

After studying creative writing and journalism, I’ve spent over a decade honing my craft and working out how best to put things.

So I guess what truly excites me is storytelling—sitting down with someone, learning about their life and writing about it (or photographing it).

More than all this though, is my undying, unrelenting love of people. I think to be a photographer or a writer, you kind of have to love people to do the whole thing justice.
